Our mission is to support Ukrainian waste management in achieving operational excellence, combining international experience, high quality standards and practical expertise. We strive to be a trusted partner for communities in Ukraine, helping to implement solutions for a clean environment, sustainable development and a better quality of life.

Guiding Principles for WM4U

Sustainability and Ukrainian Ownership

We support long-term waste management solutions that protect the environment and climate and use resources efficiently. Ukrainian ownership of the waste management reform is central to our work.

Partnership and Cooperation

We believe lasting change is built through cooperation among government, communities, businesses, civil society and international partners at all levels.

Responsible Governance, Inclusion and Participation

We promote transparent and accountable waste management based on strategic planning, clear responsibilities and alignment with EU requirements. We support the principle of subsidiarity, with decisions taken as close to communities as possible.
We ensure that diverse stakeholders and population groups are considered in the transition, promoting equality, accessibility and meaningful participation in decision-making.

Capacity building, Resilience and Recovery

We support communities and institutions through strategic advisory, technical assistance, training, practical tools and exchange of knowledge and experience.
We support waste management systems that can withstand crises, adapt to disruption and contribute to the long-term recovery and development of communities.
